EFEKTIFITAS LOTION EKSTRAK N-HEKSAN DAUN KLUWEK (Pangium edule Reinw) SEBAGAI PEMBASMI KUTU RAMBUT (Pediculus humanus capitis) SECARA INVITRO

Abstract

Clove plant has been widespread in Indonesia, especially in the Makassar region. Clove plants contain cyanides (HCN) and compounds in plants that are toxic, including alkaloids, glycosides, proteins, alcohols, non-amino organic acids, tanins, phenols, resinoids, and terpenoids. Clove plants in addition to being a plant insecticide, clove seeds can be made material or cooking spices and also made oil fuel. This study aims to find out the effectiveness of the preparation of hair lotion extract n-hexan leaves kluwek (Pangium edule Reinw) as a deprivation of lice hair. This type of study is a laboratory experimental study using an in vitro method performed by observing the number of hair lice deaths in petri cups that each have been applied the preparation of hair lotion extract n-hexane leaves claw (concentration 5%, 10%, and 15%) compared with the control (-) base and control (+) peditox for 2 hours. The results of the study showed the preparation of hair lotion extract n-hexane leaf leaf with a concentration of 15% that most effectively destroyed lice with a leach death percentage of 100% equal to control (+) peditox that was able to destroy 10 lice in ± 20 minutes when compared with control (-) base could destroy as many as 9 lice in 1 hour 40 minutes.
