UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI KRIM EKSTRAK HERBA PEGAGAN ( Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) Terhadap Propionibacterium acne
Abstract
The aim of this study was to test the inhibitory effect of the Herba Pegagan (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban.) extract against Propionibacterium acnes. The research design used was an experimental laboratory by conducting an experiment to observe how much inhibition the cream preparation had against Propionibacterium acnes which was carried out at the microbiology laboratory of the Yamasi Pharmacy Academy Makassar. Pegagan Herba (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban.) was extracted by maceration with 96% ethanol as solvent. Pegagan Herba Extract is made in 5% and 10% concentrations. The inhibition zone was determined using the well method and Nutrient Agar (NA) as a medium with an incubation period of 1 x 24 hours at 37ºC. The results of the study with an average inhibition diameter of 5% concentration was 17.3 mm, 10% concentration was 11 mm
