LITERASI BERBAGAI OBAT HERBAL DAN CARA TEPAT PENGGUNAANNYA UNTUK KESEHATAN

Abstrak

The traditional health service system is part of the national health system. Currently traditional health is regulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 103 of 2014 concerning Traditional Health Services. The use of plants as medicine has been known for a long time by Indonesian people. This is a legacy passed down from generation to generation that can still be found and is still preserved in Indonesia. One of the regions in Indonesia that has biodiversity is Pangkep (Pangkajene Islands). This natural wealth can be informed and developed to improve the welfare of the people of the Pangkep area and its surroundings, one of which is as a medicinal ingredient. Inappropriate use of medicinal plants (herbs) can have side effects on health in the future. Therefore, this activity aims to introduce several plants that can be used as ingredients for traditional medicines and their safe and appropriate use. The method used in this PKM activity is in the form of counseling accompanied by discussion. This activity had a positive impact, namely increasing the knowledge of the people of Bonto Perak Village, Pangkajene District, Pangkep Regency regarding various herbs and their safe and appropriate use.
