Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the preparation of kepok banana stem extract gel (Musa paradisiaca L.) has effectiveness against Staphylococcus epidermidis and at what concentration the kepok banana stem extract is most effective in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis. The method used in this study is a laboratory experiment to determine the effectiveness of the preparation of kepok banana stem extract gel (Musa paradisiaca L.) against Staphylococcus epidermidis. The results of the research that has been carried out from the preparation of kepok banana stem extract gel are effective in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis and the most effective concentration in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis is a concentration of 3% with an inhibition zone of 21.41 mm (strong).
