FORST) http://jurnal.yamasi.ac.id/index.php/Jurkes/article/view/369
Matoa leaves contain phytochemical compounds, in the form of secondary metabolite compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, saponins, terpenoids and coumarins. Secondary metabolite compounds are defined as antioxidant compounds whose role is to ward off free radicals. This research aims to determine the manufacture and physical quality testing of hand sanitizer gel preparations from matoa leaf extract (Pometia pinnata J.R & G. FORST). The research method used was experimental laboratory by conducting experiments for making hand sanitizer gel preparations and physical quality tests on the preparations carried out in the teaching factory laboratory of the Yamasi Pharmacy Academy, Makassar. Matoa leaves (Pometia pinnata J.R & G. FORST) were extracted by maceration for 1×24 hours using 96% ethanol solvent. Hand sanitizer gel preparations were made in negative control and 3 concentration formulas of 2%, 3% and 4%. The physical quality tests carried out are organoleptic test, homogeneity test, PH test, spreadability test. The research results stated that matoa leaf extract (Pometia pinnata J.R & G. FORST) could be made into hand sanitizer gel preparations with concentrations of 2%, 3% and 4%, and met the requirements for good physical quality tests and irritation tests for hand sanitizer gel preparations.
Arief Azis Copyright (c) 2025 Arief Azis https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-30 2025-01-30 9 1 1 9 10.59060/jurkes.v9i1.369 UJI DAYA HAMBAT SEDIAAN SABUN CAIR PEMBERSIH KEWANITAAN EKSTRAK KENTAL BIJI PINANG (Areca catechu L.) Basil leaf extract is made in hand sanitizer preparations with concentrations of 1%, 2% and 4%. This test used experimental methods in the Microbiology Laboratory of the Yamasi Pharmaceutical Academy, then tested the antibacterial effectiveness of the basil leaf extract hand sanitizer preparation (Ocimum Sanctum.L) . Then observations were made by measuring the zone of inhibition that existed at each concentration of the preparation for the test bacteria Staphylococcus aureus. The results obtained showed that the inhibition zone of 1% concentration had a diameter of 2.88 mm, 2% concentration had a diameter of 3.44 mm, and 4% concentration had a diameter of 5.14 mm. With the results of inhibiting bacterial growth which are categorized (weak < 5 mm, medium 5-10 mm). The conclusion of this study states that the hand sanitizer preparation of basil leaf extract (Ocimu sanctum.L) with a concentration of 4% is better than concentrations of 2% and 1%.
taufiq taufiq Copyright (c) 2025 taufiq taufiq https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-30 2025-01-30 9 1 16 25 10.59060/jurkes.v9i1.371 Formulation and Production of Eco-Enzyme Herbal Bath Soap as a Natural Antiseptic http://jurnal.yamasi.ac.id/index.php/Jurkes/article/view/373
This study aimed to develop herbal bath soap formulations based on eco enzyme and evaluate their physical characteristics according to SNI quality standards. The soap was formulated using the Cold Process method with three formula variations: F0, F1, and F2. The pH test results showed that all formulas were within the range of 9.03–9.05, meeting the SNI standard. The moisture content test showed the lowest value in F0 and the highest in F2, all of which were within the SNI standard. The total fat of the formulas ranged from 45.005% to 52.815%, meeting the maximum limit of the SNI. The free alkali values of all formulas ranged from 0.0095% to 0.0949%, in accordance with the SNI standard. Formula F2 was considered the best formulation because it produced soap with optimal physical characteristics and met all standard parameters. Eco enzyme has been proven effective as an active ingredient with potential antifungal, antibacterial, and natural cleansing properties in herbal bath soap formulations.
Muhammad Tahir Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Tahir https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-01-30 2025-01-30 9 1 26 31 10.59060/jurkes.v9i1.373
